Explore the eclectic neighborhoods of Santiago on a bicycle, learning about Santiago’s history from an expert guide, before retiring for the day to enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the hip bohemian neighborhoods, followed by a relaxing night’s sleep in one of Santiago’s quality hotels!
Upon arrival at Santiago de Chile's International Airport, you will be met by a Cascada representative and driven to your comfortable hotel to check in. After a short time in the hotel to freshen up and unpack our van will come to pick you up and we'll head to Parque Bustamante where we will begin our Santiago Bike Tour.
During this tour you will experience a city that in the last 15 years has awakened to major cultural changes (becoming one of the world’s capitals), and bike around a myriad of parks and traditional neighborhoods that offer the old, the new, and a unique blend of architecture, cuisine, history, and culture. We will pedal alongside the Mapocho River, biking through “linear” parks that make up the backbone of Santiago, exploring a city that embraces change but nonetheless appreciates the traditions and difficulties of the past.
Santiago is a city of contrasts, of nooks and crannies, always inviting you to wander around corners and view the buildings and local city life that have endured from the past; no matter how big the new skyscrapers of “Sanhattan” (Manhattan in Santiago) are.
The unassuming charm of the old parks and buildings is an invigorating combination and contrast to the bustling activity of the commercial districts, and the simplicity of the barrios exposes the soul of a fascinating city just waiting for you to discover. Our tour finishes right where we started. Here, the van will drive you to your hotel where you will have time to rest and continue your Chilean adventure.
You'll be picked up from your hotel in the early morning and driven to the airport to check in for your onward flight. Buen viaje!

Biking level: leisure.
Santiago has a mild Mediterranean climate: relatively hot dry summers (November to March) with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) on the hottest days; winters (June to September) are more humid with cold mornings, typical maximum daily temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit), and minimums of a few degrees above freezing. Occasional snowfall occurs in suburbs at higher altitudes and may extend throughout the city, though this happens infrequently. In case of rain, bike tour will be canceled but we will offer an optional city tour.
You'll have all of your luggage with you at the hotel. For the bike tour, all you need are comfortable garments. If it's cold, it's a good idea to bring gloves and several layers of clothing that you can add or remove as required. Sunblock lotion (50 SPF) is advisable, especially in summer!
