Join us on an extraordinary three day trip to sample some of Chile’s internationally renowned wines in the enchanting Colchagua Valley. Together we'll explore the vineyards in style via walking and horseback riding before spending the nights in luxury accommodations after full days of wine-induced decadence.
Hotel Noi Blend. Colchagua.
Located in the middle of vineyards and native forest in the Colchagua Valley and six kilometers from the city of Santa Cruz, this 140-year-old hotel, built in what were originally wineries for wine production. Today it offers a modern and country atmosphere where you can enjoy its restaurant, pool, gardens and hot tub, along with the opportunity to learn about the world of wine in the south central area of Chile.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Santiago at around 8:00 AM to begin the journey towards the beautiful Colchagua Wine Valley, home of some of Chile's most recognized names in wine. Our first stop in the Valley is VIK winery, where we will enjoy a lovely horseback riding excursion through the vineyards.
Then, we will savor a memorable lunch paired with VIK’s own wines and accompanied by the postcard-like view of their vineyard and the Millahue Valley. Here, your meal is designed by well-known Chilean chef Rodrigo Acuña Bravo, to highlight the region’s local produce as well as VIK’s wines.
After lunch, we'll take some time to relax around the pool, and enjoy other services offered at VIK before boarding an SUV to tour the vineyard and winery. Our guides will share how their philosophy of precision viticulture is employed in the grape fields and later in the wine-making process itself. The tasting will include VIK’s vintage and three barrel varieties: a Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, and Syrah.
After a day packed with activities, we'll hop over to our hotel to enjoy a tasty dinner and get a well-deserved rest.
Today, we'll begin the day with a visit to beautiful Neyén Winery. These vineyards require minimal intervention. This is because granitic, volcanic soils from the mountains and the river’s clay loam soils allow for natural drainage and all of the wine is produced with organic practices.
Here we'll enjoy a 2-hour morning hike through the vineyard, enjoying incredible natural landscapes and flora and fauna. Afterwards we'll head to the barrels for a visit and enjoy some wine tasting before feasting on a delicious country-style lunch and wine.
After a scrumptious lunch, we'll drive to Lapostolle Winery to enjoy a little walk through the vineyards and visit the barrels, where you’ll learn about the unique gravitational wine-making process of the well-known Clos Apalta wine and begin your wine tasting.
After breakfast, once more accompanied by this beautiful landscape, our transfer will take us back to Santiago. Adiós Colchagua!
Private departures are available every day on request.
