Sail up close to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier, the crown jewel of Argentine Patagonia, on this unforgettable two-day extension. Navigate the waters and trails of Los Glaciares National Park for stunning glacier views, and spend time exploring the charming town of El Calafate.

Welcome to El Calafate, gateway to the legendary Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon arrival, your private guide will drive you through the vast Patagonian steppe toward your hotel, sharing stories about Lago Argentino and the ice fields that shape this southern land.
The afternoon is yours to slow down and breathe in Patagonia. Wander along the waterfront, enjoy a warm café, or join the optional Nativo Experience to the Walichu Caves, where ancient rock art and sweeping lake views connect you to Patagonia’s first inhabitants.
Overnight at Hotel Mirador del Lago or similar, El Calafate, Argentina.
Meals: None.

An early start takes you deep into Los Glaciares National Park for the unforgettable Safari Azul experience. After a scenic drive, you’ll cross the Brazo Rico by boat, arriving face to face with the southern wall of Perito Moreno Glacier.
A guided walk leads you to the very edge of the ice — close enough to touch its intense blue formations and hear the glacier crack and breathe. The return follows the lakeshore and forest before panoramic walkways reveal the glacier’s full scale.
Later, a private transfer takes you to the airport, carrying with you the raw beauty of winter Patagonia.
Meals: Breakfast and Box Lunch.

Regular departures are available every day on request from May to August.
The trip starts and ends in El Calafate's airport. Arrivals should be early in the morning and departures in the evening (after the excursion of day 2).
This trip does not demand physical activity other than optional walking along the walkways near the glacier at a relaxed pace.
The vast unbroken stretch of ocean to the west and south of the South American continent leaves the Patagonian Andes very exposed to the saturated winds that circle the Antarctic landmass. Also, both the strong marine and the South Patagonic Ice field influence make the weather hard to predict.
You need to bring your personal belongings.
We reserve the right to change the order of the days in any itinerary at the discretion of the trip guide and based on operational considerations. The trip guide can modify, change or eliminate part of the itinerary based on safety/weather considerations.
