Spend a full day fly fishing in southern Patagonia with a specialist guide. The fishing area is selected according to your experience, water and weather conditions, with access to rivers, spring creeks, lakes, lagoons and selected private-access waters around Torres del Paine.
EcoCamp Extension
After breakfast, leave EcoCamp by vehicle for a pre-arranged meeting point, where you will meet your specialist fishing guide and continue in a 4x4 to the selected fishing area. The location is chosen according to your experience, water and weather conditions, allowing the day to range from an introduction to fly fishing to a more technical session. Spend approximately 7–8 hours on rivers, spring creeks, lakes or lagoons, with brown trout as the main target species. Complete fishing gear and license are provided. At the end of the activity, return to EcoCamp for dinner.

Brown trout is the principal target species, but specific species, fish size or catches cannot be guaranteed. The location, schedule and duration may vary according to local and operational conditions.
Ecocamp Patagonia is located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, with a unique view of the majestic granite towers. The region’s first fully sustainable accommodation south of the Amazon and the first of its kind in the Patagonian wilderness, EcoCamp offers upscale camping in geodesic domes inspired by the region’s ancient nomadic inhabitants.
Suite domes were designed to further our goal of providing comfort in a natural setting with minimal environmental impact, and also maintain the hotel’s familiar and cozy vibe. The domes have comfortable double or twin beds, a wood stove and a private bathroom with a state-of-the-art composting toilet.

Suite dome lofts are two-storey domes which fit up to four people and have comfortable double or twin beds both up and downstairs. These domes, ideal for families or groups of friends, come with a wood stove, a private terrace and a private bathroom with a state-of-the-art composting toilet.
Spacious, comfortable and equipped with private bathrooms, Superior Domes are the optimum choice for trekkers wanting that bit more space and comfort at the end of a long day’s walk. Each Superior Dome has comfortable queen-size or twin beds, a propane heater, skylight windows and a private bathroom with a sophisticated composting toilet
EcoCamp Standard domes were the world's first lodge accommodation in geodesic shape. They are resistant to the strong Patagonian winds, and come equipped with two single beds (doubles on request), cozy fleece blankets and feather quilts. There are windows in the ceiling for stargazing. Standard domes include shared bathrooms which are large, comfortable and gender divided.
Private departures on request, subject to guide availability, fishing conditions and access to the selected areas.
EcoCamp Extensions are optional experiences designed to complement a regular EcoCamp program. They can be added before or after your main itinerary, although we recommend taking this fly fishing experience after completing your regular EcoCamp program.
The extension starts and ends at EcoCamp Patagonia. EcoCamp coordinates transportation to and from a pre-arranged meeting point. From there, the specialist fishing team handles the fishing-specific transportation and logistics in a 4x4.
Transport in and out of Torres del Paine follows your main EcoCamp program. If this extension is booked independently, additional transfers must be quoted separately.
The activity lasts approximately 7–8 hours. Meeting time is generally between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, with the activity finishing around 4:30–5:30 PM. Times may be adjusted according to the selected fishing area, conditions and EcoCamp’s general schedule.
No previous experience is required. Beginners can receive an introduction to casting and basic fly fishing techniques in more accessible waters, while experienced anglers can explore more technical fishing opportunities, including dry-fly and streamer fishing.
The location and approach are adapted to each angler’s ability and interests.
Fishing takes place in selected areas around Torres del Paine and the surrounding Patagonian region. Depending on conditions, the day may include rivers, spring creeks, lakes, lagoons and selected private-access fishing areas.
The exact location is deliberately flexible and is selected according to water conditions, weather, access and the anglers’ experience.
Brown trout is the principal target species. Other species may be present depending on the fishing area and seasonal conditions.
All fishing takes place in natural environments, so the presence, size or capture of any particular fish cannot be guaranteed.
The experience operates with up to 2 anglers per specialist guide, allowing the fishing day to be adapted closely to each participant.
Solo anglers may participate subject to availability and applicable single-person conditions.
Complete fly fishing equipment and the required fishing license are provided.
Bring suitable clothing for Patagonia’s variable weather, including waterproof and windproof layers.
EcoCamp provides transportation to a pre-arranged meeting point. From there, the fishing activity operates with 4x4 transportation suited to the selected fishing area and small-group logistics.
Breakfast and dinner are provided at EcoCamp, with a Box Lunch for the fishing excursion.

Patagonian weather is highly variable. Wind, rain, temperature and water conditions may influence the selected fishing area, timing and fishing techniques used during the excursion.
Itinerary Modifications
The fishing guide may modify the location, schedule, fishing technique or sequence of the activity according to weather, water conditions, access, safety and the participants’ experience.
