Set off on a scenic hike from Cachagua to Zapallar, with panoramic views of Isla Cachagua, hidden beaches, and striking coastal architecture. Discover marine wildlife such as Humboldt penguins, chungungo otters, seabirds, and life along the Pacific Ocean’s edge.

You will leave your Santiago hotel early in the morning and travel toward Cachagua’s Pacific coastline. A relaxed walk along the shore offers views of Isla Cachagua and its Humboldt penguin colony, with binoculars recommended for wildlife observation. The coastal hike from Cachagua to Zapallar reveals hidden beaches, coastal architecture, seabirds, chungungo otters, and marine life. After enjoying a cheese and wine picnic, you will return to Santiago in the afternoon.

The trip starts and ends at your hotel in Santiago. Pick-up is at approximately 6:30 AM, with return to your hotel expected around 5:30 PM.
This tour includes an easy to moderate coastal hike of approximately 3 to 4 hours. It is suitable for active travelers and families, ideally between 7 and 70 years old, with an interest in marine wildlife and coastal landscapes.
Private transportation is included. Vehicles are arranged according to group size, with capacity for up to 6 participants.
Throughout the year on Chile’s central coast, temperatures can vary by season and location. Summer days can be warm, while cooler conditions are common near the ocean. In winter, temperatures can range between 12°C and 15°C / 54°F and 59°F, with more rainfall and greener coastal landscapes.
Bring light clothing, warm layers, spare clothing, trekking or good sports shoes, binoculars, camera, refillable water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and a comfortable backpack. Swimwear and towel are optional if you want to swim at the beaches.
