Join us on an extraordinary three day trip to sample some of Chile’s internationally renowned wines in the enchanting Colchagua Valley. Together we'll explore the vineyards in style via walking, horseback riding or biking before spending the nights in luxury accommodations after full days of wine-induced decadence.
Hotel Noi Blend. Colchagua.
Located in the middle of vineyards and native forest in the Colchagua Valley and six kilometers from the city of Santa Cruz, this 140-year-old hotel, built in what were originally wineries for wine production. Today it offers a modern and country atmosphere where you can enjoy its restaurant, pool, gardens and hot tub, along with the opportunity to learn about the world of wine in the south central area of Chile.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Santiago at approximately 8:00 AM to embark on a journey to the stunning Colchagua Wine Valley, renowned for hosting some of Chile's most celebrated wine labels. Our first destination within the valley is VIK Winery, where you'll have the option to choose from three outdoor activities: horseback riding, trekking, or bicycling, allowing you to delve into the picturesque landscape amidst the vineyards.
Next, we'll indulge in a delightful lunch paired expertly with VIK’s signature wines, set against the breathtaking backdrop of their vineyard and the Millahue Valley. The meal is carefully crafted to showcase the local produce of the region alongside the exquisite flavors of VIK's wines.
Following lunch, there will be a moment to unwind before we proceed with the vineyard tour and wine-tasting session. Our knowledgeable guides will elucidate on the winery's approach to precision viticulture, from the meticulous care in the grape fields to the refined techniques in the winemaking process. The tasting experience will feature a glass each of Milla Cala, La Piu Belle red, and Icon VIK, in addition to two barrel samples: a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Carménère.
After a day filled with enriching activities, we'll hop over to our hotel for a delicious dinner and a well-earned night's rest.
Today, we'll begin the day with a visit to beautiful Neyén Winery. These vineyards require minimal intervention. This is because granitic, volcanic soils from the mountains and the river’s clay loam soils allow for natural drainage and all of the wine is produced with organic practices.
Here we'll enjoy a 2-hour morning hike through the vineyard, enjoying incredible natural landscapes and flora and fauna. Afterwards we'll head to the barrels for a visit and enjoy some wine tasting before feasting on a delicious country-style picnic with wine.
Following our delightful picnic, we'll drive to Clos de Apalta Winery to enjoy a little walk through the vineyards and visit the barrels, where you’ll learn about the unique gravitational wine-making process of the well-known Clos Apalta wine and begin your wine tasting.
After breakfast, once more accompanied by this beautiful landscape, our transfer will take us back to Santiago. Adiós Colchagua!
Private departures are available every day on request.
