FR Lorena hails from the northern town of Calama, at the gateway to the Atacama Desert, and is undoubtedly an earth child at heart. Although she has lived in the urban environments of Antofagasta, Viña del Mar and Santiago, Lorena is always planning her next trip out into one of Chile’s nature reserves or national parks. She likes to keep a diary to record the wildlife she comes across on her travels (and she’s still anxiously waiting to add her first wild puma sighting to the list). Lorena was first attracted to work at Cascada by the company’s eco-friendly operations, in which the preservation of Chile’s native flora and fauna always take centre stage. She also enjoys the Santiago office atmosphere which has proved very friendly, the perfect match for her bright and sunny disposition. Her favourite place in the world is Chile (there’s no place like home) and ‘within’ Chile, remote and unspoiled Easter Island. Outdoorsy Lorena flits between running, yoga, kayaking and scuba diving and likes to watch movies, cook and eat empanadas & Chilean barbecues during downtime. Share your passion for the natural world with Lorena and contact her today!
