Today [Time Magazine released their first ever World’s Greatest Places list](http://time.com/greatestplaces) - and **EcoCamp Patagonia **is on it! EcoCamp was recognized for their **commitment to sustainability** and innovation, placing alongside 99 other leisure businesses from cruise ships to restaurants and hotels.  More than 1,000 businesses from all six continents and 48 countries were considered, recommended by editors and experts from around the world.

"We are incredibly honored to have been recognized by Time," Representative Helen Cordery says. "We take this as proof that the rest of the world is as committed to sustainability as we are. Hopefully, this movement will only grow worldwide."

EcoCamp was the **world’s first geodesic hotel,** based on the traditional shelters of **Torres del Paine National Park**’s original inhabitants, the Kaweskar. It is completely sustainable, utilizing solar and hydro energy to power the dome complex, and they promote nature immersion through digital detoxification.
