Places for expeditions and holiday in Chile
Include the world famous Torres del Paine and Atacama desert with its altiplano. Other tours can visit the delights of Easter Island, or Robinson Crusoe island, descend to Antarctica or Tierra de Fuego. A leisurely cruise on the Chilean lakes, surrounded by volcanoes and rich in flowers and wild life, or the Araucaria region with its primaeval forests, will suit some people better than the more adventurous trips. Chile has everything. It is a country which spans terrain from a little south of the equator to Antarctica. It is moreover a country with good services and a high degree of safety for travellers. Santiago is a beautiful, vigourous and civilised city with much to offer the tourist, although the specialities of Chile, apart from the food and wine which are of international quality, are its scenery, mountain ranges, desert and lakes.
