Weather
Central Chile enjoys an ideal Mediterranean climate, mild and temperate. The warmest months are November to February when temperatures reach 29ºC / 84ºF, with a lovely distinct lack of humidity. Nevertheless during this low mountain trek the temperature might drop considerably if the day is cloudy and the wind blows strongly, reaching a low of up to 15ºC / 59ºF.
Physical Demands
This is the right trip for energetic people who like to be active and have a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude. To enjoy this trek it is essential to be in shape.
What you need to bring
Long pants, tennis or trekking shoes, wind-blocking fleece jacket, sun hat and sun screen.
The Animals
We use Chilean horses that are on average shorter but no less strong than European horses. These animals are used to riding on rough and sloped terrain. Most of them are used to daily cattle duties and are always on their best behavior. The saddle has been adapted locally from Arab and Spanish saddles and is lined in leather that does not heat up in the sun and provides maximum comfort.
Itinerary Modifications
We reserve the right to change the order of the itinerary under the sole discretion of the trip guide and based on operational considerations. The trip guide can also modify, change or eliminate part of the itinerary based on safety/weather considerations.
