Weather
Colina hot springs are located deep in the Andes chain at 3,500 mts / 11,482 feet. You should be arriving in late afternoon when the sun is going down, and temperatures drop dramatically reaching lows of about 5ºC / 41ºF. Strong winds are sometimes present and very occasionally snow may fall. While in the pools you only feel the water's heat but outside you have to run for your clothes and dress fast!
Physical Demands
This is an easy activity, nevertheless as you will be at a fairly high altitude oxygen deprivation could affect you. Anyone suffering from heart problems should avoid thermal baths.
What you need to bring
You should bring a bathing suit, towel, underwear, change of socks, extra insulating layers and a flashlight/headlamp.
Itinerary Modifications
We reserve the right to change the order of the itinerary at the sole discretion of the trip guide and based on operational considerations. The trip guide can modify, change or eliminate part of the itinerary based on safety/weather considerations.
