Cascada Expediciones is operating a new Best of Chile program, taking visitors through Chile’s extremes on an exciting multi-destination trip. The tour combines adventure activities like cycling, hiking, rafting and sailing with Chile’s natural highlights which include the world’s driest desert, the volcanic Lake district peaks and the wild Patagonian steppe.

The 13 day trip begins in Santiago with a walking tour through the heart of the city and a unique bike & wine tour through Chile’s Maipo Valley vineyards. Travellers are then flown up to San Pedro de Atacama to start their desert adventure including a bike tour to Moon Valley to an Atacama Salt Lake & Lagoons trip and a visit to the El Tatio Geysers.

The group then flies to Chile’s Lake District and settles into Puerto Varas, with its generous lake and volcano views, enjoying excursions such as rafting the Petrohue river and trekking in National Park Alerce Andino.

Next come the wild plains and majestic mountains of Patagonia, with travellers enjoying the flora & fauna highlights of National Park Torres del Paine on an EcoCamp Patagonia Wildlife Safari. Guests enjoy easy or active excursions each day visiting the park’s highlights, including Grey Glacier, then relax & dine in community domes in the evening at the fully sustainable EcoCamp Patagonia before falling asleep gazing up at the stars through the ceiling of their cozy sleeping quarters.

The trip ends with a return flight to Santiago, before guests make their way back home. That is, of course, unless they opt for the Easter Island 4 day extension program continuing the scenic Chilean adventure...
