Our EcoCamp Patagonia

Ecocamp Patagonia is located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, with a unique view of the majestic granite towers. The region’s first fully sustainable accommodation south of the Amazon and the first of its kind in the Patagonian wilderness, EcoCamp offers upscale camping in geodesic domes inspired by the region’s ancient nomadic inhabitants. EcoCamp has 25 bedroom domes in total and 3 large community domes where guests eat breakfast and dinner overlooking the towers and unwind in the bar in the evening or plan excursions in the library. The 13 standard domes have a cozy 10m² interior and come equipped with fleece sheets, blankets and feather quilts. Guests can upgrade to a 23m² superior dome with a private bathroom and gas heater, or choose one of the 10 Suite domes which are 28m² with an en-suite bathroom, low-emission wood stove, bathroom heater and outdoor terrace.

All domes are designed and constructed to cause minimal impact on the terrain and to provide efficient thermal insulation and wind protection. Community domes are connected to sleeping quarters via raised open walkways which minimise foundations, excavations and terrain disruption and allows animals to roam around freely underneath. All bathrooms at Ecocamp have a high-tech composting chamber - the first in the hotel industry in the whole of Chile and Patagonia. Green technology is constantly tested and installed and all of EcoCamp’s energy comes from a micro-hydro turbine and from solar panels.
